The purpose of this study is to identify the correlation between the conditions of synthesis of CoNiP films and their composition, structure, and magnetic properties. Our overall approach was to create thick CoNiP films with high coercive force and good adhesion and mechanical characteristics. We think that identification of a clear correlation plays an important role in areas of the production of magnetic materials, but previous work has not covered a wide range of synthesis parameters, limiting our understanding of the mechanisms of film formation. The effect of the introduction of Rochelle salt and sodium sulfate on the composition, microstructure, and rate of formation of CoNiP films, as well as the effect of changes in current density, were revealed. A clear correlation between the shape factor and the magnetic properties of the films was also determined. We are finding that two phases with different magnetic properties were formed in the films, and we also hope to find out how phases with different magnetization mechanisms interact with each other in a future study. This work increases our understanding of the process of forming CoNiP films with certain physical properties.
