In the present study, binary and ternary complexes of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) with 1-phenyl-2,3-dimethylpyrazolone-5-azo-4-pyrogallol reagent and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) were synthesized. UV-Vis analyses revealed that AgNPs exhibited a plasmon resonance peak at 410 nm, while the reagent (R) showed π→π* and n→π* absorption bands at 232, 268, 360, 405, and 445–455 nm. The Ag–R complex demonstrated band shifts at 227, 272, and 308 nm, whereas the Ag–R–CTAB ternary complex exhibited sharper and more intense peaks at the same wavelengths (227, 272, and 308 nm), confirming complex formation and alterations in the electronic environment. According to XRD results, the reagent R displayed diffraction peaks at 2θ values of 8.24°, 10.77°, 12.32°, and 27.08° with an average crystallite size of 15.59 nm. The Ag–R binary complex showed peaks at 38° and 44° with an average crystallite size of 15.01 nm, while the Ag–R–CTAB ternary complex exhibited diffraction peaks at 9.15°, 13.55°, 20.74°, 21.64°, 38.32°, and 44.52° with an average crystallite size of 19.68 nm. The broadening of peaks and the decrease in their intensity indicate that the complexes possess a partially amorphous structure.
