The article examines the specific characteristics of gold mining enterprises in Azerbaijan. Based on a SWOT analysis of the gold mining company Anglo Asian Mining, the key factors affecting the efficiency of the gold mining industry as a whole were identified, assessed and ranked. It was found that Anglo Asian Mining, the British gold mining company operating in Azerbaijan, serves as a clear example of a company with high-quality assets and low operating costs. The company successfully benefits from the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA). The study concludes that the company has no activities that it could reduce or exit entirely in order to eliminate threats. At the same time, its strong sides are sufficient to neutralize all potential threats and the organization has numerous opportunities to overcome its weaknesses.
