Phase Relations and High Entropy Alloys in the BiSI-SbSeI System
The phase equilibria in the BiSI-SbSeI system were studied based on the results of DTA and RFA and the T-x phase diagram of the system was constructed. It was found that the system under study is generally non-quasi-binary due to the incongruent melting nature of the BiSI compound, but is stable in the subsolidus region and forms continuous solid solution series based on the initial compounds. In the homogeneity region of the β-phase, the crystal lattice parameters vary linearly according to the Vegard rule. Based on the relative distribution of components, the obtained solid solutions containing 15-85 mol% SbSeI can be considered as high-entropy alloys (HEAs).
