Abstract

The article discusses the poems written by Gasim bey Zakir on topics based on religious and literary traditions. The study of published and unpublished poems with religious content obtained from archival materials forms an objective idea about the poet's religious views. His religious views are glorified in his poems and in each work, images and events are described so accurately that the reader becomes a living observer of those scenes. One of the reasons for the success of Zakir's poems on religious topics was his ability to describe events with the precision of a skilled artist. The simplicity and clarity of Gasim bey Zakir's poetic language, its closeness to the colloquial language are among his most successful features.
