A Mathematical Model for the Maintenance Scheduling Problem with Disturbance Effect and Single Maintenance Team
Due to the increased complexity, maintenance and resource constraints are generally ignored or only one of them is considered in the machine scheduling literature. However, it is critical to consider these two groups of constraints together, especially in cases where resource needs arise during maintenance. In this study, the unrelated parallel machine scheduling problem is considered under maintenance and resource constraints. In the problem considered, maintenance must be performed within a time window and its duration deteriorates depending on the maintenance time. A mathematical model is proposed to solve this problem. Randomly generated test problems are used to analyze the size to which the proposed model can be solved. With the proposed model, it was possible to obtain solutions for problems with up to 25 jobs.
