Abstract

In the numerical approximation of physical problems, achieving a high level of accuracy is often essential. Various numerical methods have been developed by different authors to meet this requirement. These methods usually include the Nodal Integral Method (NIM), which is well known for delivering accurate results even on coarse meshes. Motivated by this in the present work, we develop a new scheme inspired by the classical NIM to solve the one-dimensional (1D) Burgers' equation. To assess the performance of the proposed approach, several numerical tests are carried out. The results clearly demonstrate the effectiveness and accuracy of the developed scheme.
