Species Diversity and Population Structure of Harvestmen (Arachnida, Opiliones) Communities in the Caucasian State Nature Biosphere Reserve (Russia)
We present the first study of harvestmen populations in the Caucasus State Nature Biosphere Reserve. As a result of this study, 17 species from three families - Trogulidae Sundevall, 1833 (2 species), Nemastomatidae Simon, 1872 (7 species), Phalangiidae Latreille, 1802 (8 species) and 14 genera were recorded, with a total of 14,361 individuals collected. Among them, Odiellus zecariensis was the dominant species, accounting for 67.21% of the total sample. To analyze the ecological structure of harvestmen communities, ecological indices were calculated, species abundance curves were constructed and cluster analysis based on faunistic similarity was performed. Faunistic and ecological data are provided for each recorded species.
